Sewing: How To Tie an End Knot
Step 1: Prepare the Thread
Cut a length of thread that is double the desired length for your stitching. Thread it through the needle, and then fold the thread in half, matching both ends together.
Step 2: Insert the Needle
Take the threaded needle and insert it into the fabric from the wrong side to the right side at the starting point of your stitch.
Step 3: Create a Loop
Leave a small tail of thread at the wrong side of the fabric. Bring the needle back to the wrong side, creating a loop that encloses the tail.
Step 4: Wrap the Needle
Pass the needle through the loop, wrapping it around the tail of the thread. Pull the needle gently to tighten the knot at the end.
Step 5: Repeat if Necessary
Repeat steps 2 to 4 for additional knots if desired or required for the specific sewing project.
Warning: Ensure that the knot is secure and tight to prevent unraveling during use.
