You could also check the bobbin for any damage and if it is inserted properly, as well as see if the presser foot is pressing too firmly when sewing. It might also be helpful to double check the stitch type you’ve chosen and if it can accommodate the type of thread you’re using.
This could also be an issue with the thickness of the fabric you are using. If the fabric is too thick for the machine, the thread can break easier.
